Update for 2016

It’s been a busy and exciting season for Natan and I getting kids moved to college, going about other family activities, getting the new Scripture Reading Schedule ready for another year, along with making preparations for Sukkot NW! The season of our joy is almost here, so we’d like to give you an update and tell you about a couple of RV sites that have opened up.

Our speakers have offered more great teachings than we have found spots for. We also hope to add one more Wilderness Experience time as well as Hebrew lessons. Dr. Joe has offered to teach a daily class for those who are interested to learn to sound out and read the Hebrew aleph-bet. We’re looking for the *best* daily spot for that. It may be held during the lunch break or just before the evening activities. I’ll get the schedule online as it stands now — just know that we are still massaging it a bit so it may change slightly.

All tent campsites are full.

Two RV sites are now open and available. Several families from our congregation cancelled due to various reasons (tow vehicle problems, farm animal issues, family schedule conflicts, etc). The fee is $325 for the entire feast and includes water, electric and sewer hookups. Both campsites can accommodate a tent, meaning either an RV or tent camper can reserve either site. If you reserve one of these sites, the late registration fee will be waived.

We’re looking forward to another great year at Sukkot NW!

Blessings and joy in Messiah,
~Sandi Lawrence

One Tent Site Has Become Available!

One tent site has become available at Griffin Park.

The campsite has a 12 x 12 tent pad with a 35′ driveway that will accommodate a 29′ vehicle length. A shared water spigot is nearby. The restrooms have hot showers and flush toilets.

If you want to reserve that campsite at Sukkot NW, please use the campsite request form. It will be first-come, first served for a full-time camper only. This campground allows 6 people maximum on a campsite. A tent camper or RV may reserve the site. There are no RV hookups, but Griffin Park has a dump station in the campground.

We will only be able to get back to you from now until Thursday, 9/24 late afternoon, and then again after Shabbat until Sunday morning, 9/27.

Registration Answers

Each day we are receiving inquiries, some days multiple inquiries, with the same questions about registration. It’s a busy time with the Fall moedim and getting all the Sukkot details wrapped up so hopefully this will answer many of those inquiries:

  • If you want to attend Sukkot NW, we ask that you register. We are required to have registrations on several levels. This applies even if you only want to attend one day, a couple of afternoons, part of the week, or the entire Feast celebration (highly recommended 😉 ).
  • When you register, this generates your name badge using the names you enter on the registration form. That name badge tells our security team that you are part of Sukkot NW.
  • Please do not fill out a registration form UNLESS you also intend to pay for your registration. It takes extra work to sort through, contact, and delete those who do this. Let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no (James 5:12, Ephesians 4:25). Thank you. 🙂
  • If you filled out a registration form and you have not paid or made arrangements for payment, we’d happily try to contact you but simply don’t have the time at this late date. You will be deleted from the database UNLESS you contact us within 2 days of registering (no later than 9/21).
  • Registration deadline was 9/9. Final, final, final registration is 9/23. The sooner the better, please.
  • The contact form on our website is the best way to contact us during this time with questions.

OK, business part is done. 🙂

Lots of excitement is being expressed for this year’s Feast! Our teachers have thought-provoking topics, our praise & worship team is prayerfully preparing, several afternoons are filled with interesting workshops, a fun teen challenge is in the works, engaging activities such as the men & women’s separate forums and sukkot stargazers are planned, and we look forward to wonderful fellowship and fun sukkah parties around the campfire! We hope to see you there!
